Isaac and Rebekah had two sons, Jacob and Esau. Before their birth they were destined. Esau came out first with Jacob grabbing his heel. Esau was a man of the field, while Jacob was more spiritual. One day when Esau was hungry, he gave away his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of stew. When Isaac lie sick near death in bed, he called Esau so that he may bless him. Because of this, Yahuah changed his name from Jacob to Israel. Israel fell in love with Rachel. He thought he was working seven years for her, but Rachel’s father had deceived him. He told Israel that it was custom that the older be married before the younger. So he had to work seven more years to get Rachel. After sometime, he was traveling and met his brother Esau on the way. Even though Esau didn’t kill him then, Yahuah said that Esau’s hatred for Israel would burn in him forever. And it has, the children of Esau went on to slave, beat, and ship the descendants of Israel all over the world. Yahuah promised that while Esau control this world;Israel would control the next.
