Joseph was the son of Jacob. Jacob’s sons birthed the twelve tribes of Israel. His sons were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. All but Benjamin, hated Joseph when they were young. Joseph had the gift of dreams and dream interpretation. He dreamt that his father and his brothers would bow to him. This angered his brothers, so much so that they sought to end his life. They put him in a pit to die. Upon further contemplation, they agreed to sell him into slavery to the Egyptians. Once the king of Egypt, Potiphar, realized that Yahuah was with Joseph, he set him in charge of everything in Egypt. Potiphar’s wife would tempt Joseph which caused him to flee. Potiphar’s wife told a lie, she said that Joseph had come on to her. Joseph was cast into prison. Job 5:19 He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you. Joseph was called yet again to interpet a dream in-which he was right about. Amazed at Joseph’s skill, he was again set at the right hand of the king of Egypt. From thence, he was able to rescue his family when drought struck the land. He was never again put to shame
