Nationwide — Kyndris Brooks, an African American woman from Jackson, Mississippi, was shot in the neck by her ex-girlfriend, Kiundria Malone, in a shocking domestic violence attack. She remains hospitalized, fighting to recover, while Malone is still out on bond.
Brooks said the attack happened in the early hours of December 30, when Malone approached her car while she was sleeping. Brooks described the moment after she was shot, thinking about her grandkids and telling herself to “breathe, breathe, breathe” as she struggled to stay conscious.
Imagine being shot in the neck by someone who is supposed to love you. All the things that must run through your mind, ran through Kyndris Brooks. She thought about her kids and her grandchildren. Yahuah rescued her though. She is now in the hospital recovering.
